【摘要】:Thepourpointofapetroleumproductisanindexofthelowesttemperatureofitsutilityforcertainapplications.Flowcharacteristics,likepourpoint,canbecriticalforthecorrectoperationoflubricatingoilsystems,fuelsystems,andpipelineoperations.Petroleumblendingoperationsrequireprecisemeasurementofthepourpoint.Thistestmethodcandeterminethepourpointofthetestspecimenwitharesolutionof1.0x00B0;C.Testresultsfromthistestmethodcanbedeterminedateither1or3x00B0;Cintervals.ThistestmethodyieldsapourpointinaformatsimilartoTestMethodD97/IP15whenthe3x00B0;Cintervalresultsarereported.Note38212;SincesomeusersmaywishtoreporttheirresultsinaformatsimilartoTestMethodD97(in3x00B0;Cintervals)theprecisionswerederivedforthetemperaturesroundedtothe3x00B0;Cintervals.ForstatementsonbiasrelativetoTestMethodD97,see13.3.ThistestmethodhasbetterrepeatabilityandreproducibilityrelativetoTestMethodD97/IP15asmeasuredinthe1998interlaboratorytestprogram.(SeeSection13.)1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofpourpointofpetroleumproductsbyanautomaticinstrumentthattiltsthetestjarduringcoolinganddetectsmovementofthesurfaceofthetestspecimenwithanopticaldevice.1.2Thistestmethodisdesignedtocovertherangeoftemperaturesfromx2212;57to+51x00B0;C;however,therangeoftemperaturesincludedinthe1992interlaboratorytestprogramonlycoveredthetemperaturerangefromx2212;39to+6x00B0;C,andtherangeoftemperaturesincludedinthe1998interlaboratorytestprogramwasx2212;51tox2212;11x00B0;C.(SeeSection13.)1.3Testresultsfromthistestmethodcanbedeterminedat1or3x00B0;Cintervals.1.4Thistestmethodisnotintendedforusewithcrudeoils.Note18212;Theapplicabilityofthistestmethodonresidualfuelsampleshasnotbeenverified.Forfurtherinformationonapplicability,referto13.4.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
