【摘要】:Thisguidedescribeshowstaticelectricitymaybegeneratedinpetroleumfuelsystems,thetypesofequipmentconducivetochargegenerationandmethodsforthesafedissipationofsuchcharges.Theguideisintendedtoincreaseawarenessofpotentialoperatingproblemsandhazardsresultingfromelectrostaticchargeaccumulation.Thisguideisnotintendedtoprovidespecificsolutionsbutindicatesavailabletechniquestheusermaywishtoinvestigatetoalleviateelectrostaticcharges.Theguidedoesnotcovertheeffectsofstraycurrentsoroflightning,eitherofwhichcanalsoproducesparksleadingtofiresorexplosions.Thisguideisnotintendedtoaddressdetailedsafetypracticesassociatedwithstaticelectricityinpetroleumproductsystems.ThevaluesinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
