【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesmethodstomeasurethebreakingstrengthandelongationatbreakofaselfadhesivetapewhenitissubjectedtoatensileforcesufficienttocauseittobreak.Thebreakingstrengthofadhesivetapeisofvalueasanindicationofitsuniformityandquality,anditsabilitytowithstandstressesduringapplicationanduse.Theelongationatbreakoftheadhesivetapeisofvalueasanindicationofitsuniformityandqualityaswellasaroughindicationofitsabilitytoconformtocurvedandirregularsurfaces.Itisusuallydeterminedatthesametimeasthebreakingstrength.Thistestmethoddescribesaprocedurefortesting12mmor24mmwidesamplescutfromsuppliedrollsofselfadhesivetapes.Alternativelyrollsofselfadhesivetapeupto50mmwidemaybedirectlytestedintheiroriginalwidth.Inthesecircumstancesthepracticalbreakingstrengthandelongationwillbetypicalofthemanufacturer’scutedges.Whennewlycutsamplepiecesaretested,becauseofthebettercuttingoftheedges,theresultscanbehigherthanwouldbefoundoncommercialtape.
